Le Jardin des Amis

Welcome to Le Jardin des Amis, a small-scale holiday estate in the charming village of Meyrals, nestled in the green hills of the Périgord Noir – one of the most beautiful regions of the Dordogne.

Our nearly 4-hectare property, once a tobacco plantation, offers peace, space, and nature. We live on the edge of the property, where our seven charming gîtes (sleeping 2-8) are also located, grouped like a small village street. Here you'll also find the heated swimming pool overlooking fruit trees, expansive lawns, and the forest, where, with a little luck, you might spot a deer! Our gîtes exude the charm of yesteryear, yet are also equipped with modern conveniences.

We – a Dutch family – recently became the proud owners of this idyllic retreat. Inspired by what we always sought on vacation: freedom for the children, space to play and socialize, and time to unwind, we run this place with love, hoping others will enjoy it as much as we do.

Life here takes place mainly outdoors. By the pool, in a hammock among the fruit trees, or quietly on your own terrace.

And when it gets dark in the evening? Then you'll admire a starry sky as clear as you've rarely seen.

There's plenty of space for children to play outside and explore. While there's no entertainment program, there is freedom, nature, and an ideal environment for adventures of all sizes.

For adults, it's a place to relax, read a book, chat, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Traveling alone with your child? It's especially helpful if there are other children to hang out with. We expect them to find each other naturally here, so you can relax too.

Don't forget to explore the surrounding area. The Périgord Noir is known for its castles, caves, medieval towns, local markets, and delicious cuisine. From Meyrals, you can quickly reach Sarlat, Les Eyzies, or the Vézère and Dordogne valleys – perfect for a day trip, a hike, or a canoe trip.

Outside the high season we offer space for workshops and retreats, among other things.
