Welcome to Le Jardin des Amis, a small-scale holiday estate in the charming village of Meyrals, amidst the green hills of the Périgord Noir, one of the most beautiful regions of the Dordogne.

Our grounds of nearly 4 hectares, once a tobacco plantation, offer peace, space, and nature. On the edge lie seven charming gîtes (2–8 people), grouped like a small village street. Our estate is therefore also perfectly suited as group accommodation for families and friends.

Here you will also find the heated swimming pool with a view of fruit trees, vast lawns, and the forest, where you might spot a deer with a bit of luck!

We, a Dutch family, have recently become the proud owners of this idyllic spot. Inspired by what we ourselves always looked for on vacation—freedom for the children, space to play and meet people, and time to unwind—we run this place with love, hoping that others enjoy it just as much as we do.

Life takes place outdoors here. By the pool, in a hammock among the fruit trees, or quietly on your own terrace.

And when it gets dark in the evening? Then you look at the stars, and experience the natural night sky, unpolluted by light.

There is plenty of room for children to play outside and explore. No entertainment program, but plenty of freedom, nature, and an ideal environment for adventures big and small. Are you traveling alone with your child? Then it is especially nice if there are other children to hang out with. We expect them to find each other here naturally, so that you can relax too.

For adults, it is a place to catch your breath, read a book, have a chat, or simply enjoy the peace.

Outside the high season, we offer space for workshops and retreats.

The gîtes are carefully restored stone cottages, each with its own character and a fully equipped kitchen. You can swim in the heated outdoor pool, the children can enjoy themselves on the grounds with a trampoline, swing, and table football, and from the estate you can walk straight into the meadows and woods. Sarlat, Les Eyzies, and the castles along the Dordogne are a short drive away. The owners live nearby and are happy to share their tips for the most beautiful places in the area.
