Le Bleuet is a beautifully restored, 300-year-old Périgord cottage full of charm – with original stone floors, exposed beams and characterful details such as wall niches and an old cooking hearth: silent witnesses to its past as a farmhouse.

Downstairs is the living area, with a dining table, a seating area with TV (FR/EN) and a wood-burning stove for cooler days.

In the village you will find restaurant La Merenda, known for its local cuisine and excellent pizzas. The area also offers a wide choice of other restaurants, each one well worth trying – but cooking for yourself is easy too. There is a gas barbecue on the terrace, and the fully equipped kitchen includes:

• Fridge with freezer compartment

The spiral staircase leads to two bedrooms: a double room (bed 160x200) and a smaller room with two single beds (90x190), ideal for children. Both rooms are air-conditioned.

The shower and toilet are in a separate, enclosed room; both bedrooms have their own washbasin, as is common in old houses of this kind.

Sloping ceilings and skylights create a cosy atmosphere and offer views of the surrounding hills.

At the front of the house is a small, enclosed garden with a shaded veranda – a peaceful spot to relax. Behind the house is a second terrace with direct access to the swimming pool (through a child-safe gate). With a gas barbecue and a pergola, this is a sheltered and inviting place to eat outdoors.

All gîtes of Domaine Le Jardin Des Amis in Meyrals share access to the heated, fenced swimming pool (seasonal), the extensive grounds and the surrounding woods. Each house has its own atmosphere, charm and comfort – a place in the heart of the Périgord Noir where children can play and explore freely while adults relax.

Important information about your booking

• Tourist tax: Under French law we are required to charge a tourist tax of 3.3% per booking for all guests aged 18 and over.

• Final cleaning: To ensure a carefree stay and a spotless experience, a final cleaning is mandatory. For gîte Le Bleuet this costs €60.
